The story of Smartbox Power
Smartbox Power arose from a growing demand in the market: how do you get the most out of sustainable installations without manual intervention?
Companies were increasingly confronted with fluctuating energy rates and even negative feed-in tariffs. We saw them struggle with negative energy prices and sometimes even manually shut down their installations to avoid losses, resulting in loss of yield. That had to be smarter.
That is why we developed Smartbox: a system that controls in real time based on market prices and energy consumption, and automatically moves with market developments.
Our mission? Making sustainable energy available automatically, efficiently and profitably for installers, energy companies and their customers.
Own development, short lines
Behind Smartbox is our R&D team in the Netherlands, with experience in energy, automation and software development. We develop the software for energy management, the portal and the apps ourselves.
We also design and build the hardware for the Smartbox Regular ourselves. At Lite and Pro we combine hardware from specialized partners with our own software. We offer a suitable Smartbox for every installation, connected to the same platform.
We continuously develop new functions, connections and management strategies. This way, Smartbox grows with your installation and the possibilities of the energy market.
With short lines, direct support and a solution-oriented approach, we want to be a reliable partner for energy companies and installers who want to advance the energy transition.
Collaborate through partners
We do not supply our technology directly to end users, but via energy installers and energy companies who integrate our EMS into their own services. This way they maintain customer contact and control, while we take care of the technology behind the scenes.
Our ambition
More and more installers and energy companies are joining us. We are growing fast in the Netherlands and are working towards a future in which we are the market leader in smart energy management systems in Europe.
