The Smartbox controls locally. Our backend refines the strategy. Together they continuously go through these five steps.
The power meter, solar panels and wind turbines send measurements to the Smartbox Regular. Consumption, battery state of charge and available power are combined into one real-time overview.

First stay within your contract values. Then get the most out of your energy.
Smartbox uses the battery to keep grid imports and exports within your contract limits. It also maximises self-consumption and charges during the lowest-priced EPEX intervals, even at sites with a zero-export limit.

Illustrative day profile with a battery of 500 kWh / 60 kW. Power levels and prices are illustrative; conversion losses are not included. Available battery capacity, charging power and controllable assets determine what is possible. If the battery is full or empty, Smartbox limits generation or flexible demand where necessary.
